Essentially You is a workshop series for yogis to explore essential oils during yoga practice. Each session includes movement, oils, breath, and rest. Yogis will have access to choose oils that suit their dosha (sanskrit for “constitution” or “humour” or “disposition” or “temperament”) and practice best.
Class #1: Knowledge is power. Yogis understand the science, safety, and proper use of oils. An initial dose of Sandalwood will be diffused – the oil of inspiration and spirit. “OM with Drum” will mark our movement with meditation.
Class #2: Ayurvedic use of essential oils through dosha balancing and correct application directly to your person. A choice of oil will be provided, based on your individual needs for application to your person or mat. The class will include movement with meditation.
Class #3: Move through the chakras with oils. Chakra oils are used through various applications including internally, through diffusion, and topically. The class will include movement with meditation.
Class #4: Using essential oils in personal practice. Guide students through the process of selecting oils based on dosha or chakra opening and applying them during practice. The class will include movement with meditation.
