A weekend to rest, learn, move, grow
Designed specifically for mental health practitioners looking to explore therapeutic movement and breathing techniques, this event will help you put neuroscience into practice for yourself and your clients. With teaching and opportunities for practice, you will connect brain and body systems through experiential learning.
Our time together will include:
- Integrated teaching and practice, with opportunities to reflect and absorb – while in hot springs!
- Exploration of the depth of how body systems respond to physical movement
- Assisting ourselves and our clients in up and down regulation techniques and strategies
- Active participation opportunities in therapeutic chair and restorative yoga practices
- Small group setting with others from the mental health field (capped at 25 participants)
- Highlighted attention will be given to the polyvagal theory

Your Retreat Leaders
Darci Jones is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma and nearly 10 years of running a private practice. Her work has been in a variety of settings including wilderness therapy, comprehensive school and community treatment, private practice, and advocacy work through changing and creating policies. She is passionate about a client-centered approach and to weaving neuroscience within the work. Mind-body connection has been a guiding principle within Darci’s practice.
Jennifer McIntee is the owner and lead teacher at Beyond Bending Yoga with in-person classes in the Mission Valley of Montana, online classes through a full online studio, and retreat experiences in various locations (especially Montana, Western North Carolina, and annual international retreats). She is certified through Yoga Alliance as eRYT500 hour (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and Y-ACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). She also has a Masters degree in Physical Education with over 20 years of experience teaching yoga.
Both Darci & Jennifer live in Polson, MT – just a few miles from each other through open farmland. Darci has a husband and daughter. Jennifer has a husband and three children – including a daughter in the same grade as Darci’s daughter. Darci and her husband also run an organic farm (on top of Darci’s private practice) while Jennifer is active in her yoga studio, farmstead, family, and community. Both Darci & Jennifer are thrilled to be working together and providing this opportunity for mental health practitioners to integrate and/or strengthen their emotional-physical connection.
